Kannazuki no Miko: Preview
“Kannazuki no Miko”, also known as “Destiny of Shrine Maiden” is a 12 episode anime that was first broadcasted in 2004. It is a yuri anime, revolving around two girls, Himeko and Chikane, whose destiny is to save the Earth from the menace of dark forces…
All right, so after all the techinical stuff, let’s go back to bussines. First of all, I’m not into yuri, but I decided to give this show a try because the artwork looks nice and well, it’s short so if it gets boring I will drop it without second thoughts. What worries me is that I may actually not like it. Whenever I get a new anime, I tend to first watch some episodes at random, just to get a general overview of what I’m going to see. In this case, after watching some episodes, I realized that I prefer Souma-kun as a couple for Himeko over Chikane-chan. At least that’s how I feel, especially after that infamious rape scene in which Chikane rapes Himeko… man that was disgusting! When I saw Souma-kun entering the room I was thinking: “Go boy, slap that bitch on the face!”. I don’t care if Chikane has a special reason to do what she does, but even if there is one… I think I’m still going to hate her a lot… but well, I’ll wait till I get to see all the episodes. So stay tuned for more thoughts on this topic…or rants!
